Eucalyptus Radiata oil, Australia

Is also known as Eucalyptus Australiana and Black or Narrow Leaved Peppermint Eucalyptus. Although it shares a common cineole aroma with other eucalyptus oils, analytically it is unique. The primary difference is the presence of the constituent, piperitone, also a component of peppermint. Other than that the aroma is quiet similar to Eucalyptus Globulus. However, because it has piperitone in common with peppermint this variety of Eucalyptus would likely prove useful in blends containing mints. For a soap maker this detail may well make the difference between an average soap and a great soap.
